The walk is a long 5.5 km though a shorter walk is possible by stopping at point H and returning to the start. In either case, the walk does not involve much change in altitude as it is mostly at sea level. To avoid a return walk, please check public transport options from the Riverside Museum back to Glasgow Green. For a shorter walk, the first eight stops on the walk can be enjoyed as a shorter walk.
To complete these walks you need to be confident in walking on and off pavements and negotiating steps etc. There are very few opportunities for refreshments or toilet stops en-route, so please take the chance of this at Glasgow Green at the West Brewery or People’s Palace before setting off. If you feel you can’t join the walk then please enjoy the many photographs and links on the website.
Parking is available at Glasgow Green at Templeton’s Carpet factory though it is limited so go early! Address: Glasgow Green, Templeton Street, Glasgow, G40 1AT
