Polish Parachute Brigade at Leven
The plaque, designed by David Mach for the Arnhem memorial unveiled in the Festival Gardens in 2014, incorporates Scottish and Polish national symbols, the motto of the brigade and the name of the Polish commander.
The earlier memorial, erected in 1964, consisting of a stone pillar with a metal plaque, is also located in the Festival Gardens.
In addition to the coat of arms of Leven, the plaque displays the diving eagle emblem of the Polish parachute brigade.
