Access to St Margaret’s Marsh
To access St Margaret’s Marsh by car follow the road signs for North Queensferry. If coming along the M90, either from the north or the south, leave at the Ferrytoll Junction and go west for about 200m to traffic lights at which there is a left turn for North Queensferry (yellow road on map above). Follow this road around the south side of Dunfermline sewage treatment works until just before it goes under a bridge carrying the M90, where there is an unsignposted right turn onto a minor road which goes towards the marsh. Park on the start of this road, near the interpretative boards, taking care not to block access for vehicles continuing up the hill to the left or through the gates to the marsh.
If travelling by bus alight at Ferrytoll Park and Ride, walk south towards the roundabout and follow the same route as described for cars but do take care to safely follow pavements since this is an area largely used by, and designed for vehicles, rather than for walkers.
If arriving by train, the Park and Ride is about one mile from Inverkeithing station walking south along the main street.
